Summary:
The Trade Compliance Analyst will build upon and operate the global trade compliance program ensuring that the requirements and business processes associated with International Trade movements function smoothly, while also ensuring that Import and Export issues and risks are identified and managed efficiently.
Job Description:
Job Responsibilities Works with various functional areas to determine their Import/export needs, and develops and implements appropriate strategies to meet business requirements and ensure full compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Establish, maintain and foster relationships with internal CF parties such as Sales, Supply Chain, Tax, Legal, and Procurement.
Establish, maintain and foster relationships with various external parties such as U.
S.
Customs Brokerage service teams, Canadian Customs Brokerage service teams, Export Agents, Attorneys, other service provider vendors, and consultants.
Manage various Customs brokers and agents through audits to gauge performance, identify, document and communicate challenges on various accounts, raise concerns, review options for solution and account changes.
Problem-solve IT automation issues and disruptions on Import/Export Shipments.
Identify system needs and enhancements and coordinates the design, status and testing of IT/system tickets and updates.
Utilize and understand logic design and function with respect to external Trade Compliance systems for CBP, Brokers, and Restricted Party Screening.
Issues Free Trade Agreement documentation to requesting Customers and Brokers for U.
S.
Production facilities.
Provided Free Trade Agreement accuracy oversight, logs, and maintains records for all free Trade Agreements issued by U.
S.
and Canadian Facilities.
Performs annual USMCA Free Trade Agreement qualification and documentation process for all U.
S.
and Canadian Produced commodities.
Vendor invoice validation, coding, approval and submission within timely fashion.
Maintain and update all Import/Export product classification codes (HTS, ECCN) within SAP and shipping system to comply with US Customs, State & Commerce departments.
Maintain CF's Import/Export recordkeeping program.
Review, update and deploy relevant company procedures and documents such as Import/ Export procedures, Import/Export manuals, etc.
Be the point of contact on clearance and documentation inquiries from Customs, Brokers, Export Agents, and governmental agencies.
Review, coordinate and deliver existing trade compliance training for Sales, Transportation groups, and carriers to ensure trade clearance across the border.
Coordinate regular audits of U.

/Canadian Imports and Electronic Export Filing.
Perform ad hoc Restricted Party Screening.
RequirementsBS Degree in business or related field.

years relevant experienceDemonstrated knowledge of U.
S.
Customs import and export regulations, standards, and IncotermsLicensed Customs Broker (LCB) or willing to obtain within the near future.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong experience in compliance risk analysis and familiarity with its valuation methodologiesAbility to use independent judgment applied to resolution of trade compliance issuesStrong communication skills, both written and orallyAbility to collaborate cross-functionally and globallyStrong project management skillsManage a diverse workload which may include changes in priorities and responsibilitiesAbility to take initiative and drive projects forwardProficiency in use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in groups with some manager direction, oversight, and guidance.
