Seeking Experienced Dermatology Billing Manager/Biller
Our well-established dermatology practice is looking for a skilled and experienced full-time Billing Manager/Biller to join our team. As a privately held company, we value our employees, we pride ourselves on our high patient volume, and are seeking someone with a can-do attitude and strong professionalism to help us continue to thrive. We use EMR technology, specifically EMA/Advanced MD, and are transitioning to EMA PM. Billing Manager / Biller Primary Job
Responsibilities:
- Developing billing metrics and continuously improving the billing workflow
- Fulfilling a player/manager role
- Daily claim billing and auditing for accuracy, posting insurance payments electronically and via paper.
- Resolving claim edits and exclusions, following up on unpaid claims to ensure prompt payment based on aging.
- Understanding billing guidelines and payor requirements
- Performing prior authorization functions as needed
- Experience with insurance appeals, balancing, and closing statements
- Managing collections, refunds, and patient and insurance accounts receivables
- Responding to patient inquiries regarding balances and insurance issues
- Developing and conducting billing training for front desk and call center employees
Billing Manager / Biller Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in rigorous medical billing
- Preferred candidates will have experience with dermatology billing and coding and/or EMA technology.
