The candidate will provide day to day legal counsel on a wide variety of corporate, securities, and financing matters. Will be assisting with the preparation and review of SEC reports, corporate sales, earnings releases, proxy statement, and internal and external corporate communications. Supporting the corporate finance/treasury department on a wide variety of matters, including securities offerings, global financing transactions, cross border lending, derivative and swap transactions, and treasury share issues. Providing legal counsel on the securities aspects of executive compensation, and compliance with applicable securities law and stock exchange regulations. Providing support on subsidiary governance matters, and training and compliance initiatives. Counseling on securities and finance matters in order to support the M&A teams as needed. Proactively monitoring and communicating legal trends, industry standards and best practices for securities and financing topics that could affect the conduct of business. Assisting to drive the development, execution and administration of policies, contract process improvement, and legal training and education for business clients. Working closely and collaboratively with other members of the legal department, client groups (including investor relations, communications, finance/treasury, and HR) and outside counsel. Establishing a rapport and working relationship with client groups, in order to encourage and continue the proactive use of in-house legal counsel. Developing a thorough understanding of, and familiarity with Walgreens business, its people, markets, facilities, customers and competitors, in order to identify trends and formulate structures and strategies accordingly.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
