Summary:
Under very general direction, is responsible for the operations, environmental, health & safety, maintenance, capital projects and personnel training/development at all Distribution Facilities within the assigned geographical area.
##### Job Responsibilites:
OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
Confers with superintendents on the application of distribution policies and
procedures
Oversees the maintenance of buildings and equipment as well as ensuring site
security
Analyzes and improves operational efficiencies
Ensures that facilities and operations meet or exceed applicable environmental,
health, safety, process and security regulations and CF policies.
Coordinates with DF groups such as engineering, technical services, EHS, accounting
and purchasing to ensure optimal efficiency and performance of facility operations
Ensures optimum communication and coordination occurs between the groups in
Deerfield, i.e. Supply , Sales, Human Resources and Information Technology
concerning facility operations to meet these groups and customer needs
Represents CF Industries within the local community and promotes CF Industries
Community Relations programs
GENERAL MANAGEMENT
Interprets and directs organizational policies and supervises the application and
compliance with such policies to the operational personnel
Prepares annual budget and ensures all facilities adhere to budgetary constraints
Prepares Authorization For Expenditures (AFEs) to commit corporate funds for
approved capital projects and ensures all stakeholders adhere to budgetary
constraints
Reviews all recommendations for special machinery, maintenance projects, and other
perational or budgetary items
Participates in long-range facility maintenance, expansion or reduction planning
PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT
Oversees the performance and development of all employees in specified region
Reviews all recommendations for salary or position changes as well as performance
evaluations
Ensures the integrity of the Operator Progression Program
Completes other duties or special projects as assigned.
##### Successful incumbents will have:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience and business aptitude
Ten to 12 years of additional experience (preferably with NH3 terminal operations or
storage and handling of a hazardous chemical) within a distribution or processing
environment
Minimum of three years' supervisory experience
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Must be PC literate within a Windows environment and be proficient in Microsoft
applications
Must have the ability to travel on an as-needed basis
##### Position Scope/Contribution:
This position has responsibility for operations of 10-11 NH3 terminals valued at $200MM to $250MM. Travel is required to various facilities throughout the specified region and accounts for approximately 60% of the workweek. Trips are typically 2-4 nights in duration.

Schedule Type: Full TimeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
