Department: Accounting
Reports to: National Controller

National Corporation seeks Contract Accountant to provide vital information and support for the corporate accounting function.
The successful candidate Mustdemonstrate
Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Internal controls and general ledger account analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
Senior Level Excel Experience
Oracle ERP and/or Great Plains Experience a Big +
Access and Oracle a +
Candidates must have the ability to:Work independently to execute/complete moderately complex accounting and ad hoc projects, prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines, manage multiple activities accurately and effectively, and collaborate across all teams and staff levels.
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Must demonstrate good judgment, exercise the highest discretion, and possess excellent communication skills.
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Corporate Accountant include:
Maintaining and reconciling the operating company general ledger
Preparing monthly financial statements and quarterly forecasts for the operating company;
Analyzing variances to budget;
Maintaining and reconciling the fixed asset ledger
Reviewing credit card reconciliations and expense reporting;
Assisting with the annual operating company budget, annual audit, and related systems evaluation and implementation
Collaboration with the investment accounting team Special projects as directed.
Position Requirements:
An undergraduate degree with an emphasis in accounting, business administration or a related field
Minimum of 5-8 years related accounting experience; a Master's degree or CPA or progress towards may substitute for some experience;
Senior Level Microsoft Excel and accounting software and reporting Experience
